Pros and cons of iAliens for Reddit app for iPhone and iPad
iAliens for Reddit app good for
Effective side menu, quick and simple access to everything and clean interface.
I use this app already for a year and it works quite well!
No problems with any bugs that cause crashes.
It is all set up very simple and minimalistic, but just as simple as reddit already is ;)
There are a few shortcomings but its definitely more stable than alien blue.
I really enjoy iAlien. It has a slick design that makes it easy to read text subreddits, but it does sometimes load pictures or videos slowly. It even crashes while loading pictures every once a while. If it wasnt for that, this would be perfect.
Simple, clean and no BS. However, it lacks multi-account support.
This is a very good app for Redditors, however, when viewing certain imgur gifs, the app will crash. If the developers could fix that issue, then this will be the best Reddit app.
Some bad moments
Force shutdown still an issue. Big gifs load until the end of the loading bar and then the app force shuts down. Highly annoying.
Crashes all the time, constantly shows posts that you already saw as you scroll, annoying flashing ads at the bottom, cant open things in browser (which would load content MUCH faster than their app, which takes forever, and upon completing on one you waited a particularly long time on, almost always crashes). Also opens text posts as a browser link (still in the app). Very annoying. Alien blue is better in every way!
Crashes for anything. Gif? Crash. Article? Crash. Video? Crash. Image? Crash. Comment section? Sometimes crash.
Literally. Have not used an app that crashes more. The worst part is when something takes 20 seconds to load and THEN crashes.
This app is great, until you try to open an imgur file. Aka an essential part of Reddit. After opening the third imgur file the app shuts down and quits on you. Yeah, maybe this doesnt seem like the worst problem, but let me tell you the "never ending" Reddit that produces it self at random is the SHEER INAFFABLE definition of UTTER FAILURE.
This app constantly crashes, takes forever to load content. Then right before it loads, it crashes. Horrible working app
